Moodle Puppies in basket with Mum

Welcome to Moodle & Co

We are a small, family based Moodle breeder located in Kilcoy, Queensland.

Our puppies are raised as part of our family, not simply in a kennel environment.  From their earliest days, they experience gentle handling, household sounds, human interaction and age-appropriate socialisation.

Our goal is simple: to raise healthy, affectionate and well-socialised Moodles that can become much-loved members of their new families.

At Moodle & Co we provide ongoing support and guidance to new owners, including puppy care, advice and transition support, to ensure a positive start for both puppy and family.

Our goal is to breed Moodle puppies that are not only beautiful but also healthy, happy, and well-suited to family life.  We take pride in our transparency, integrity and commitment to responsible breeding.

Meet Our Family

Karen Gosney

Founder, breeder, puppy cuddler, cleaner, chef, social media coordinator, and photographer at Moodle & Co. 🐾

What started with a love of dogs has evolved into a life surrounded by wagging tails, tiny paws, puppy chaos!  Karen is passionate about raising happy, healthy, well-loved puppies, but will be the first to admit that the dogs are really in charge. Most importantly, every dog at Moodle & Co is loved as a family member first.

Dean Foster

Moodle & Co’s number one supporter, birthing assistant, puppy socialisation specialist and all-round great guy. 🐾

Dean is the calm to Karen’s chaos and the self-appointed chief puppy cuddler. Always ready to lend a hand, he is an invaluable part of the Moodle & Co team— whether that means assisting with a birth, entertaining a litter of puppies or simply providing somewhere warm and comfy for a sleepy pup to curl up.  Dean is also a certified big softie, the puppies and Karen adore him.

How Moodle & Co Started

Flossy Mummy Moodle as a Puppy
My journey with Moodles began in March 2021, when I purchased my first Moodle, Flossy. For the first time, I was choosing a dog of my own! Until then, my dogs had always been chosen by my husband or children. Missy, our Border Collie x Kelpie, was my husband’s dog and became a wonderful companion to me after he passed away. Sam, our Border Collie, came to live with me when my youngest son could no longer keep him, and over the years my older son brought home his share of dogs too!
When it was finally my turn to choose, I knew exactly what I wanted — a small, affectionate lap dog I could cuddle, have beside me on the lounge and even share my bed with. Flossy was perfect. Her mum was a Poodle and her dad a Maltese, and I loved that Moodles are affectionate, people-oriented, intelligent, easy to train and, importantly for me, low-shedding. After years of Border Collies, I was very happy to have a dog that didn’t leave hair everywhere!
Flossy quickly became my constant companion, joining me on camping trips and receiving countless compliments wherever we went. After two wonderful years together, I started thinking about breeding from her. I wanted to find a Poodle stud with Flossy’s lovely temperament, along with the appropriate health checks, DNA testing and pedigree.
With the help of my best friend’s mum, who had been breeding dogs for over 40 years, I was introduced to Frankie. Frankie and Flossy went on to have two beautiful litters together. When Frankie’s owner later decided to reduce her breeding program, Frankie retired to a wonderful family.
It was then time for me to find my own Poodle stud — and along came Benji! Named after the famous 1974 movie character because he looked just like him, Benji has grown into a beautiful boy with a lovely nature. He is now almost two years old, and we are very excited to be expecting his first litter with Flossy at the end of October 2026.
And so my little Moodle journey continues!
